Hi there,

do you guys have any more information on what factors google looks at for ranking?

i've been trying to optimize my website but nothing seems to work! I've followed tips from other websites but my website still ranks very low in nutrition tips.

Hello mfowler,

Don't panic yet. Sometimes it just takes a little more time for Googlebot to index all your pages, especially if your website is brand new. However, check your robots.txt to see that there are no "no follow" commands just in case.

If everything seems to be in order, you can speed up the indexing process by doing link exchanges. If a reputable website features a link to your site, then Googlebots will be crawling all over your site in no time!

Hello Kate, thanks for saying that. I have the same problem as mfowler. I've been searching for some reasons on why my site's 'Contact Us' page is still not indexed yet. I was beginning to worry. I will have my developer or seo guy to check the robots.txt. Thanks again.

There are lots of ways for your page to get indexed faster. One is, yes, making sure that there are no "no follow" commands. The other thing I've been doing so my pages / blog posts get indexed faster is submitting them to social networks like Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, etc.
